The Role of Training in Determining Citizen-Consumer Attitudes Towards the Use of e-Government

Talent Development and Excellence 12(1):4812 - 4822

This paper is based on field study by collecting data through survey questionnaire and analyzing its results in Abu Dhabi Emirate. The survey has covered major areas and employees in both the government and private sectors. Meanwhile, the survey questions have included topics related to the services and benefits of e-government. The collected data were summarized using statistical indicators such as percentages and average scores. The results of the demographic data indicate that the majority of participants are young people, and refer to the high percentage of youth in the UAE society. The results of the questionnaire show that providing access and using the Internet is becoming the normal day to day activity among Emirati citizens and residents. Almost all the different service providers that were surveyed reported positively to grant access to their services. However, the results also show that a significant high percentage of the respondents believe that the training programs are important for e-government to be more acceptable.
