Source in Arabic: ENACT Case_study Malee, Saudi Arabia
Malee is a digital educational game for measuring and enhancing financial literacy of children aged 8 to 12 years, and it includes five main objectives focusing on the diversity sources of income, the importance of savings, setting priorities based on the needs and wants, planning purchases and identifying the effect of financial decisions, and encouraging charity work and social responsibility.
The game simulates real life situations that might face children where they might need decision-making skills and proper handling of money to clarify the effects of their decisions during the game. It includes behavioral indicators that were revised in collaboration with the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Centre (GFLEC), of the George Washington University, to ensure the accuracy of their measurements within the main educational objectives. The game also features the use of artificial intelligence and accounts for the principles of learning to provide motivation and a rich and enjoyable experience for children.
